世界愛滋日 葛謨: 州府新規嘉惠更多患者
1日是世界愛滋病日(World AIDS Day)，州長葛謨(Andrew Cuomo)30日宣布，紐約州正朝著2020年降低愛滋感染率的目標前進，並指出州府新規會提高未投保愛滋患者獲得醫療保障的最低收入標準，保證更多患者都能獲得充足幫助抵抗疾病。
葛謨表示，紐約州在對抗愛滋病方面取得重要成績，根據州衛生廳的數據，紐約新確診的病例數已連續第三年呈下降趨勢，2017年為2769起，比2014年下降20%。紐約市方面，2017年有2157起確診的新病例，比2016年的2279起還下降5.4%。
更值得一提的是，去年新確診病例數字在不同性別、年齡、族群群體中都在下降，雖然在不同族裔群體間的愛滋診斷率仍有較顯著差異，但從2007年起，每10萬名新診斷患者中，非洲裔數量已下降52%，西語裔則下降42%。
數據還顯示，有更多新被診斷愛滋及已經攜帶病毒一定時日的人在接受治療，其中通過藥物獲得有效控制的人數也在持續上升。而紐約州因曾注射毒品而感染愛滋的人數去年達到歷史新低，只有110人，比2014年的153人降低28%，在上世紀90年代愛滋高發時期，每年都有好幾千人因注射毒品而感染。
為了提高愛滋病患者接受治療的數量，紐約州衛生廳還更新了收入標準，讓收入達到聯邦貧困線500%的患者也能參加未投保醫療項目，具體信息可查詢https://www.health.ny.gov/diseases/aids/general/resources/adap/。
紐約州衛生廳在過去四年獲得超過2000萬元資金來提供愛滋預防、篩檢、普及和治療服務，接下來衛生廳會大力推廣抗逆轉錄病毒(anti-retroviral)藥物，幫助更多新患者及時治療。
婦女節藍倡溫柔力量 綠憂平等倒退
【台灣醒報記者鄭羿菲台北報導】國民黨6位女性縣市首長候選人齊聚一堂，跳起「抖肩舞」為慶祝38婦女節拉開序幕，黨主席吳敦義上台送給每人一束花，並期勉女性候選人能藉著溫柔的力量改變社會激化、鬥爭的氛圍；而副總統陳建仁則出席衛福部舉辦的慶祝活動致詞表示，「2017年全球男女平等首次出現倒退現象，而性別平權不再只是女性的議題，唯有男性共同參與，才有機會加速創造性別平權的世界。」
「性別平權不再只是女性的議題，而是攸關所有不同性別權益的維護，更是普世的人權議題。」陳建仁8日出席「107年度慶祝國際婦女節」致詞時表示，2014年聯合國開始發起「He For She」的倡議行動，聯合國女性親善大使艾瑪•華森也透過演說，積極邀請男性挺身而出，共同為女性權益發聲，性別平權不只是女性專屬的理想，男性也想為女性、為自己打造理想的性別平權環境。
陳建仁說，唯有男性共同參與，讓男性與女性的聲音一起被聽見，才有機會加速創造性別平權的世界，新世代年輕人對性別平權的認識與實踐，已較上一世代更好，但在細微的日常生活中，仍潛存隱性的刻板印象與不平等觀念而不自知。他舉例說，「小時候總是姊姊煮飯，我幫忙洗碗；打掃都是姊姊做，男生就負責裝電燈等，這些都是沒有被察覺的生活細節。」
「每個人的身上都兼具柔軟與堅毅的特質，不應將特質標籤為負面刻板印象，或因此被歧視，最重要的是，要讓每個人都能做自己，不為偏見所困。」陳建仁指出，「2017年全球性別差距報告」中，男女平等狀況首次出現倒退，台灣在過去幾年，除了透過推動性別平等政策綱領，也完成3次《消除對婦女一切形式歧視公約》國家報告，但仍有需加強的地方，希望大家共同努力。
國民黨中央也邀請各縣市長女性候選人同台跳起「抖肩舞」慶祝婦女節，包括台中市長候選人盧秀燕、彰化縣長候選人王惠美、嘉義市長候選人黃敏惠、花蓮縣長徐榛蔚、雲林縣長候選人張麗善及宜蘭縣縣長候選人林姿妙，但因沒有事先彩排，每個人都抖得「卡卡」的，卻也逗樂了台下邀請同慶的民眾。
吳敦義在慶祝尾聲也上台送每人一束花並期勉，「國民黨提名的12位縣市長候選人中，有7位是女性，反觀民進黨提名女性掛零，」期待女性溫柔的力量能改變社會，讓婦女撐起半邊天，希望每一位都高票當選。
「希望台灣的女性們，勇敢為自己做主，且要先珍愛自己。」盧秀燕說，社會還有許多地方對女性不友善，全世界超過100個國家的產假是14週，但台灣卻只有8週，是全球倒數15％，政府應該將產假延長到至少12週，讓女性獲得更友善的工作環境。
